Suddenly the pitching comes around...and even thought Trout hasn't been himself, Albert was ineffectual and Trumbo looks pathetic at the plate...the Angels swept 'em.

Scary moments after Aybar lined one off the side of McCarthy's head. Hope he's going to be okay.

I'm not worried about Albert or The Kid, but Trumbo? He looks totally lost, and has since the ASG.

Trout's long term problem is that he strikes out too much,
his immediate problem is that his bat speed has slowed.
Trumbo has totally lost confidence. Both are suffering from
that dreaded slump-causer of swinging at balls and taking
strikes. The cure is easy to see but hard to do because it
requires the discipline to shorten their swings and try to
hit strictly for average, ignoring power until their
bat-meets-ball skill returns.

I consider it something that happens during a 162 game season. I
haven't played ball in a long time and certainly never played every
single day so I'm going to compare it to golfing instead. There are
days when it all seems easy and then other days when it just doesn't
go right. I haven't lost my game, just misplaced it, and for no reason
that I can see, it comes back later....which is what will happen with
both Ts.

And I agree with the idea of just making contact now.
